Robert Indiana's contributions to the development of contemporary art have been strong; he explored the language, American identity and personal history wisely combining the style of Pop Art, abstraction and conceptualism geometric shapes based on the language.
He created his own iconography, when introducing a kind of conceptual structure from the plastic use of language, especially with words LOVE and HOPE, the two iconographic emblems closest to the human soul and that synthesize the spirit of our time.
