OFF CHACOFF Is Here to Stay

An event is going to be held in parallel with Chile Contemporary Art Fair (Ch.ACO), September 26 - October 1, in Santiago, Providencia and Ñuñoa. OFF CHACOFF includes proposals from over fifty galleries and alternative exhibition spaces, many of which are in charge of promoting experimental art, apart from commercial and institutional circuits. The event is going to be organized by a group of artists, communicators and independent managers: Ana Sanhueza, Tania Gonzalez, Jorge Gonzalez-Lohse, Sergio Gonzalez, Taty Mella and Carolina Lara.

OFF circuit is made up of 54 spaces: Piso Dos, Callejera Laboratorio Movil, Espacio Opening, No Mas Clavos, Galeria Centro, La Cueva Del Conejo, Local Proyect, Yono, Galeria Temporal, Bc5 (Blanqueado Capital 5), Galeria Tajamar, Espacio Flor, Local Arte Contemporaneo, Taller Huelen, Galpon Chileno de las Artes, Alugar, Galeria Girardi, MICH, Espacio Cellar, Perrera Arte, Local 1, Mutt Art Dealers, Galeria A Cuadrado, Oficina Barroca, Museo de Arte Callejero, Galeria Piloto, Rattha Gallery, Bellavista Home, Cabeza de Pescado, Taller Lautaro, Kinokis, Sala 011, Espacio Interactivo Concha y Toro, Arte Usable Laboratorio Creativo, Bloc, Caja Negra, Infinitos Gif, Estudio Ccd, Off (Spain Cultural Center), Taller Tierra Luz, Sofa, Hangarnekoe, Espacio Tajamar, Juan Egenau Hall (University of Chile), El Iris, Espacio Submundo, Espacio Chino, Ak-35, Galeria Hall, Colectivo La Union, Estudio Casa Hamburgo, Galeria Espora, Sala de Carga and ArteMenta.

All of the exhibition spaces are going to follow their own six-day schedule. Several projects created by young artists stand out, including visual artists, designers, architects, writers or musicians, who apply their own creation, circulation and visibility strategies; more flexible and effective work dynamics to establish links with the community.

Ch.ACO has been a landmark for three years in terms of Chilean cultural programs, since it brings together national and international galleries, as well as contemporary art collectors, newcomers and experienced ones. The activities related to the fair brought an alternative circuit, associated, to complete the proposal with options that reach the market. This is the first edition of OFF Chacoff, and we are looking forward to establishing a milestone.
