…perdiendo los papeles…, at Adora Calvo Gallery

After the presentation of collective exhibition ‘PINTURA.PPPINTURAAA' curated by Francisco Carpio, Adora Calvo gallery showcases, within its new space, a collective show on drawing.

…perdiendo los papeles (losing the roles)… is a project that deals with the concepts and topics we usually tackle when it comes to drawing. This practice has been traditionally identified as a subsidiary discipline, a space between the rest and the previous that has also been linked to the "genius" or the "purest artistic personality". This show tries to generate a reminiscent space in terms of expectations and constructions on drawing without putting it in a self-referential way, but as a vehicle to reflect on the way we take cultural constructions.

The display will not only include different “material natures”, formalizations and platforms, but also works that state other distribution and production methods. This is how the diversity of practices related to drawing will pop up to the surface, specially their otherness condition.

The show is scheduled to be open on September 7, 2013.

The exhibition is made up of: Loreto A, Elena Alonso, Manu Arregui, Jaime Ballaure & Fernando Ventura, Bene Bergado, Patricia Gadea, Ruth Gómez, José Lerma, Moisés Mahiques, Regina de Miguel, Beatriz Olabarrieta, Diego del Pozo, Fernando Renes, Suso33, Isidoro Valcárcel Medina and Azucena Vieites.
