Mesocosmos at Monterrey’s Museum of Contemporary Art

Monterrey’s Museum of Contemporary Art presents Mesocosmos, an exhibition that invites to reflect on the Universe, its nature and ambiguity of its dimensions.

Intuition is an essential element in terms of knowledge and the development of culture and civilization. It clearly demarcates the mood that whips everything we know into shape, and that anthropologic environment of world knowledge is called mesocosm.

By means of installations, sculptures, pictures and videos created by Anibal Catalan, Alex Dorfsman, Thomas Glassford, Francisco Larios and Mauricio Limon we can establish an intermediate parameter between macrocosm and microcosm. Likewise, we can find similarities among such elements from the outer space as galaxies, stars, and the microscopic particles that make up the matter.

Mesocosmos will be open to the public from Friday June 14 to November 10, 2013.
