Photographic November at Fototeca de Cuba

Cuba’s Photographic Library proposes a photographic program for November, with a photography colloquium that includes lectures given by acclaimed photographers, curators and researchers like Rafael Acosta, Nelson Herrera Ysla, Magaly Espinosa, among others. 

 

The accreditation and registration will be carried out on Monday November 18, 9:00 am - 9:30 am, at Ruben Martinez Villena’s Conference Hall, Arms Square, Old Havana.

November 18

9:30 am – General information on photography, by Erick Coll.

10:15 am – Photography as visual sociology, by Rafael Acosta.

11:00 am – Recent works, by Alfredo Sarabia.

11:45 am- Panel: Situation of contemporary photography, by Nelson herrera Ysla and Nelson Ramirez de Arellano Conde.

 

November 19

9:30 am – Teaching photography, by Rufino del Valle and Ramon Cabrales.

10:15 am – New documentalism: photography telling other stories, by Magaly Espinosa.

11:15 am – Offline photography (Documentary screening), by Arieng Chang.

 

November 20

Havana’s Creative Photography School

9:30 am – The condensation of image, by Margel Sanchez Alfaro.

10:15 am – Microstock, a way to market photographic works, by Tomas Inda Barrera.
