This Center for Contemporary Art in Malaga presents the Abraham Lacalle’s exhibition as a project specifically designed for the central space of such museum.
The exhibition, curated by Fernando Francés, comprises of large format canvases and drawings covering the same subject: the battlefields.
Each painting is an image related to these struggles going beyond military conflicts, and they reflect the internal disputes the persons keep in their relationship with the outside.
Often, the artist refers to these 'battles' to raise a review on the current social situation: banality of the issues or essential issues and saturation of images through the mass media.
Abraham Lacalle (Almería, 1962) lives and works in Madrid.
