US Symposium at Museum of Fine Arts Announced

Havana.-  The National Museum of Fine Arts, in conjunction with The Bronx Museum of the Arts, from the United States, announced the symposium Wild Noise, scheduled for June 18 in Havana. The main topic of the symposium, which will be held at the hemicycle of the Universal Art building, will be major movements of American arts at present.

 

On this occasion, world-renowned personalities and art scholars from the United States will give lectures for seven hours with support from the Terra Foundation for American Arts.

 

Lecturer Deborah Cullen will speak about Artistic Creation as a Community; Robert Blackburn will give a workshop on engraving, while Claudia Calirman will speak about Art and the Banal: the Pop Era.

 

Speaker Carey Lovelace will refer to The Impact of the Feminist Theory in Contemporary Art, according to the organizers of the theoretical event.
