This week at El Museo, Rodríguez Calero is in Las Galerias discussing her work and inspiration with guest curator Alejandro Anreus. Check out a special screening of Third World Newsreel's El Pueblo Se Levanta (1971), featuring the Young Lords in East Harlem. Music all night by DJ Turmix and a video projections by artist Lionel Cruet. Also enjoy chalking by FEEGZ & crew and art making in the courtyard!
At the City Museum, enjoy Operator Emz and DJ Misbehaviour spinning hip-hop, funk & soul on classic vinyl 45s. At 7 p.m. attendees will learn some of hip-hop's latest dance moves with NYC dance teacher and performer Uko Snowbunny.
