NaderLAAMuseum Botero Monumental Sculptures on Biscayne

Nader Latin American Art Museum is pleased to announce the exhibition Botero Monumental Sculpture featuring 15 large-scale sculptures by world-renowned Colombian Master Fernando Botero.

 


Botero Monumental Sculpture curated by Gary Nader and produced by Nader Latin American Art Museum, will take place at the Bayfront Park located in Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL. from October 2015 to January 2016.

 


Sculpture is an essential part of Botero's oeuvre, which is worldwide recognized. Botero's preference for mythological and historical themes is well represented by his iconic masterpiece "Male Torso", exhibited in more than 20 important cities around the world, aside from essential pieces as "Head", "Man Walking", "Adam & Eve", "Horse", "Ballerini" "Donna in piedi" and "Rape of Europe", among others.
 


Fernando Botero is regarded as one of the world's greatest artists; his voluptuous monumental sculptures are known and appreciated throughout the world, they have been exhibited in Paris, New, York, Venice, Seoul, Berlin, Tokyo, Madrid and Athens, among others. Their presence in Miami is an historical moment for our community and the millions of art lovers that visit us.

 


The Nader Latin American Art Museum with over 1200 works of art from the most important Modern and Contemporary Masters is compromised to elevate the importance of our culture by promoting excellence, a work performed by his founder Gary Nader for over 40 years.

 


An interim space of 30,000 sq. ft. for NaderLAAM will be open to feature the most important works of the collection during the celebration of Art Basel; this space will serve to promote the historical importance of Latin American art until the museum's final location is complete.
