“El vuelo de Bronce” arts exhibit in Berlin

Germany.- The collective exhibit that is part of  El vuelo del Bronce project and that includes works of relevant Cuban artists Alberto Lescay and Eduardo Roca Salazar (Choco), was opened recently at Berlin’s Myer´s hotel in the presence of one of project’s initiator and promoter, German sculptor Mr. Marcos Frierl.

 

On the Cuban part, attended the event Juan Parra Fellové, cultural attaché of the Cuban mission, who thanked Cuban and German artists the opportunity to develop this project, the origins on which he commented. He also talked about these artists’ professional careers, who as members of the Association of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC, as per its initials in Spanish) and of the International Association of Visual Artists (AIAP), have developed and promoted the Cuban Applied Monumental Arts, especially in the fields of painting, sculpture, mural painting, ceramics and melting the utilitarian and artistic nature of the pieces. Parra highlighted that the works exhibited are a reflection of the Cuban identity and enrich the Islands’ cultural heritage through research and experimentation.

 

During the simple inauguration, that will be opened at Myer´s hotel until May 22, the people present also enjoyed Cuban music played by Cuban artists established in Germany.
