Museo de Prado's artworks to attract great public

Thousands of people have admired the more than 50 works among the most emblematic ones of the Museo del Prado, that are exhibited at the Castillo de La Real Fuerza’s railings in Havana’s Historic Center until May 4.

 

Pieces in exhibit are natural size and maximum fidelity reproductions (1:1 scale) that offer a tour through the history and collections of this Museum, likewise the main pictorial schools represented in these important collections in Madrid.  

 

The exhibit has been possible thanked to the effort of the Museo Nacional del Prado, the AECID, the Embassy of Spain in Havana and the City Historian Office.

 

As one of the educational actions associated to the exhibit have been organized guided tours lead by Art History students from the University of Havana who were trained at the Palacio del Segundo Cabo, seat of the exhibit collateral program.

 

The teenagers of the Vitrina de Valonia comic strips workshop and of Habana Radio station diction workshop are responsible for guiding other teenagers every Wednesday, 3:00 pm. On the other hand, children participating in the Niños guías del patrimonio Project lead every Tuesday, at the same time, the primary school students of the zone through these European art works, according to the Schedule of visits organized by the Cultural Management Direction of the City Historian Office of Havana.
