First Cuban International Biennial Design to be celebrated

Havana.- From May 16 to 20 will take place in Havana the first International Biennial Design, an opportunity to legitimize this discipline in Cuba as guarantor of competitiveness, innovation and development.

The National Office of Design (ONDI, as per its initials in Spanish), main organizer of the event, decided to extent the program of activities to Camagüey and Santiago de Cuba provinces, with the purpose to widen the participation opportunities to several regions of the country.

Among the activities related to the Biennial are workshops about branches and the ways to reach the public through information technologies.

Likewise will be also exhibited the most relevant products presented by design studies, advertising agencies and creators.

The ONDI prizes, the highest recognition conferred to the Cuban professionals in this discipline who develop transcendental projects specialized in visual or industrial communication, will be presented to the best work during the last day of the event.
