The Excelencias Group will be one of the official sponsors of the grand concert that young Cuban singer Haydée Milanés, who was handed the Excelencias del Arte Award as part of the prizes that are annually awarded by the Excelencias Group, is slated to give Saturday June 11 at Karl Marx Theater.
In that concert, the crooner will be singing with her father, renowned singer-songwriter Pablo Milanés.
Father and daughter are going to sing the 12 songs included in Haydée’s latest record, entitled “LOVE: HAYDÉE MILANÉS IN A DUET WITH PABLO MILANÉS”, and another dozen songs that stand for Pablo Milanés’ career from the late 1960s to the 1980s.
With this concert, Haydée Milanés has decided to revere the music that enriched her musically and spiritually throughout her life, as well as to pay tribute to that icon of Cuban music, her father, who is also her teacher and source of inspiration.
