We are pleased to share the news of the upcoming opening of the extraordinary sample of the work of Mexican sculptor Javier Marin in Switzerland. The exhibition will take place in the magnificent Pinacoteca Comunale Casa Rusca Locarno, from September 18, 2016 to January 8, 2017.
Javier Marin, who lives and works in Mexico City, has conducted throughout his thirty-year career, 90 solo exhibitions and over 200 group exhibitions in various countries of Latin America, United States, Asia and Europe. His works are in numerous public and private collections, among which, the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. It has also made installations in highly regarded public spaces such as the Museum d'Arte Contemporanea in Rome, the Piazza del Duomo in Milan or the Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts of Belgium. Considered the greatest living Mexican sculptor, the exhibition held the year 2015 in the capital of his country hosted more than 600,000 visitors.
