Colombian Artist Daniel Baute to Perform in Cuba

Havana, Cuba.- Colombian singer/songwriter Daniel Baute said on Wednesday in Havana that one of the most important moments in his career is to sing in Cuba.
 
The artist, invited to participate in a festival called “A Bridge To Havana” and who will offer several concerts on the island, said he admires Cuban music and will hold his first presentation Wednesday night at the Marta Abreu Central University of Las Villas, sharing the stage with Cuban counterparts like Adrian Berazain and Karamba musical group.
 
During the concert, Baute will interpret songs from his CD Mis Raices (My Roots) using rhythms like Colombian vallenato and international pop also including Latin and Caribbean musical styles.
 
Baute says his songs are dedicated to love and to his two lands, Bogota and Valledupar.
 
The Colombian singer also announced his debut in Cuba of his single “Mal de Amores”, which will be available on Friday on Internet.
 
The other performances are scheduled for Thursday in Café Cantante Mi Habana, Casa de la Musica in Varadero the 12th, and Saturday the 13th in the Tomas Terry Theater in Cienfuegos and on Sunday the 14th in Casa de la Musica of Artemisa.
 
Mis Raices (My Roots) is one of the CD’s that is competing for the International Award of the island’s Cubadisco 2017 whose gala is scheduled for next Saturday.
 
The 6th edition of “A Bridge to Havana” has been dedicated to Colombia and will also include performances by that South American country’s singer, composer and guitarist Manuel Medrano, winner of two Grammy Latina Awards last year.
