Cultural Events through September Postponed

Due to the damage caused by hurricane Irma on the Cuban territory and the recovery stage the country is phasing in, the Ministry of Culture, Cuban holding Artex S.A. and the Music Institute have decided to call off the Mega concert Dos Leyendas: De la Revé a los Van, and the second edition of Primera Línea, Havana International Music Forum.

The exclusive concert to be given by famous popular music bands Revé and Van Van on September 30, 8.00 pm at Ciudad Deportiva, is now scheduled to take place at the same place and time on December 1.

Maestro Santiago Alfonso will be in charge of the artistic direction and the show is going to be included in a DVD produced by Bis Music, record label of Artex S.A. Special guests and a great repertoire have been put together for that evening organized by Artex S.A with the collaboration of the Culture Ministry, PMM, EBM Marketing Solutions and the government of Havana.

Some days before this mega concert, November 27-30, Havana is set to host the second edition of the International Music Forum, Primera Línea, which was scheduled for September 20-23.

The event, to take place at Alicia Alonso Havana Grand Theater, is meant to show the development achieved by Cuba in the present musical scene and its potential in terms of international market positioning.

The second edition will be focused on lectures, workshops, showcases and networking opportunities, devoted to meet music producers and Cuban artists, with special hinge on Cuba-U.S relations.
