The Vallarta Theater and the Close Up Vallarta Video Creation Festival have rolled out the call for this event’s first edition slated from April 26 to 27, 2011 in the city of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. The international exhibit, that will comprise both video art and experimental materials, is a space for interrelation and promotion that will bring spectators closer to this segment of visual creation.
All authors –emerging or celebrated- are entitled to attend the festival with a maximum of two artworks apiece, in freestyle and with Spanish subtitles (optional), as well as in either analogical or digital format. It’s all about putting audiovisual creation in alternative spaces that could let a broader public have access to this kind of art other than the one found in museums and galleries.
Based on the materials sent to the organizers, a thorough selection will be done to finally come up with the festival’s schedule.
