Madrid: Publicist, communicator, commissioner and cultural promoter of Hermes Communications, Sergio G. Garcia, will dictate on April 28 at 7:30pm a lecture entitled “Marketing for Artists” at the Excelencias Cultural Space.
The lecturer will sum up the topics being taught at the marketing courses for artists: art market, first steps, exhibits in alternative spaces, artistic dossier, résumé, press dossier, spread and website. At the same time, he’ll share some of these tools aimed at encouraging artists to make use of them.
“Many creators could really make the most of their artworks in all ways, something that can be mended through marketing techniques,” the lecturer has said in the past.
With over a dozen years of experience under his belt in the field of marketing and cultural promotion, Sergio G. Garcia has been teaching courses for artists for the past couple of years in Palma de Majorca, Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia, Seville and Caceres. “I started to teach when I noticed the shortfalls the artists I was meeting really had,” he said.
“This is going to be an opportunity for artists to express their concerns before an expert in the field,” said Elvira Rilova, chief of the Excelencias Cultural Space. “With this event we’re beginning a program of talks and lectures featuring a number of guests, including cultural professionals and creators who will be sharing their anecdotes and experiences with the audience.”
