The actress Laura de la Uz tells the little story of a day in her life and all the ups and downs of her creative work. In a unique show that will take place this Saturday, October 18th at the Teatro Mella, Laura returns to the stage with a mounted play, directed and performed by herself.
"It is a paradox to reality show that narrates the day of any Cuban creative and when I say creative I mean not only the art world but also to all Cuban women seeking a way to create in all facets of their everyday's life. The play looks to reflect the conditions in which this creative process and all the obstacles that also faces “unfolds, the actress said in an interview in the Cuban television.
With the presentation of this show closes the Festival Ellas Crean (Women Create) in its second edition, which is organized by the Cultural Department of the Embassy of Spain in Cuba in coordination with the Ministry of Culture.
This year's event included within its program concerts, plays, thematic conferences as well as workshops by artists and other professionals from both countries.
According to what the actress said, music, technology and the participation of singular guests related to the song in Cuba as Beatriz Marquez, Diaz Telmary Lynn Milanes are combined in the play.
"In the play my family also intervene because they are part of my reality and fundamental pillars for the development of my work ", revealed the actress who said she was very happy to return to the theater in a project designed by herself.
Those who follow the work of the talented artist in cinema will enjoy her work later this year at the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema. Laura de la Uz joins the cast of the film La pared de las palabras by the director Fernando Perez and the film Vestido de Novia (Wedding Dress) directed by Marilyn Solaya. Both films will be released this year.
