Gustave Caillebotte: The Painter's Eye

Fifty of the most important paintings by impressionist Gustave Caillebotte (1848–1894) will be the focus of this major exhibition, which aims to provide visitors with a better understanding of Caillebotte’s artistic character and the complexity of his contribution to modernist painting.

Gustave Caillebotte: The Painter's Eye will present works exceptionally on loan from private collections and a small number of institutions in Europe and the United States. It will offer a unique opportunity to get a broader sense of the achievement of the artist, whose paintings were inaccessible for almost a century and are still difficult to find in public institutions.
