The film Los domingos / Sundays (Spain-France), directed by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, received the Golden Shell for Best Film at the 73rd San Sebastián International Film Festival. The Official Jury also awarded the Silver Shell for Best Leading Performance (ex aequo) to Jose Ramon Soroiz, for Maspalomas (Spain), and to Zhao Xiaohong, for Her Heart Beats in Its Cage (China). In addition, Camila Plaate won the Silver Shell for Best Supporting Performance for her role in Belén (Argentina).
Belgian filmmaker Joachim Lafosse was recognized with the Silver Shell for Best Director for Six Days in Spring (Belgium-France-Luxembourg). The same work also received the Jury Prize for Best Screenplay, shared with Chloé Duponchelle and Paul Ismaël. The Best Cinematography Award went to Pau Esteve, for Los Tigres (Spain-France).
The Special Jury Prize was awarded to Historias del buen valle / Good Valley Stories (Spain-France), directed by José Luis Guerin, who had previously received this honor in 2001 with En construcción.
Jury and Closing Ceremony
The Official Jury was chaired by J.A. Bayona, with members Laura Carreira, Gia Coppola, Zhou Dongyu, Lali Espósito, Mark Strong, and Anne-Dominique Toussaint. The closing ceremony, hosted by Itsaso Arana and Óscar Lasarte, took place at the Kursaal and included the screening of Winter of the Crow (La conspiración del cuervo), attended by director Kasia Adamik, actress Lesley Manville, and producer Stanislaw Dziedzic.

The Movistar Plus+ Award for Best Short Film went to The Loneliness of Lizards (Spain-Portugal) by Inês Nunes, and the Tabakalera Award to Life is Like That and Not Otherwise (Germany) by Lenia Friedrich.
- Culinary Zinema Award: Mam (France) by Nan Feix.
- Eusko Label Awards: Hatsa (Spain) by Josu Ozaita Azpiroz and Gatz Harana (Spain) by Saioa Miguel.
- Loterías Awards: Maruja (Spain) by Álvaro G. Company, and Medusas (Spain) by Iñaki Sánchez Arrieta.
- Irizar Basque Cinema Award: Los domingos (Spain-France) by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, with a special mention for El último arrebato (Spain) by Marta Medina and Enrique López Lavigne.
- City of Donostia / San Sebastián Audience Award: The Voice of Hind Rajab (Tunisia-France) by Kaouther Ben Hania; the audience award for Best European Film went to Little Amélie (France) by Maïlys Vallade and Liane-Cho Han.
- DAMA Youth Award: La misteriosa mirada del flamenco (Chile-France-Germany-Spain-Belgium), debut feature by Diego Céspedes.

The festival also presented the Industry Awards WIP Latam and WIP Europa, the Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum, as well as the Culinary Zinema, Loterías, Eusko Label, Ikusmira Berriak awards, and the Donostia Awards to Esther García and Jennifer Lawrence.
Los domingos was also distinguished with the FIPRESCI Prize, the Feroz Zinemaldia 2025 Award, and the SIGNIS Award, consolidating its position as one of the most celebrated films of this edition.
