Upcoming activities at MARCO La Boca within the exhibition Los días nocturnos

The Museum of Contemporary Art of La Boca (MARCO) and the Tres Pinos Foundation continue the public program linked to the exhibition Los días nocturnos, on view until November 7, 2025, at Av. Almirante Brown 1031, La Boca.

The exhibition brings together works by Amanda Tejo Viviani, Ornella Pocetti, and Marcelo Canevari, curated by Christo Fasoli, and proposes a local interpretation of the Gothic in visual arts. Taking inspiration from Julio Cortázar’s reflections on the uncanny in Río de la Plata literature, the show explores intersections between image and text, rural and urban environments, and historical and contemporary imaginaries.

As part of the exhibition’s program, MARCO will host a series of free public events:

  • October 24 – Live music performance by Julio y agosto.
  • November 2Talk with Daniel Santoro (limited capacity).
  • November 7Presentation of the dossier Gótico del Plata and closing event.

About Gótico del Plata

A key element of the exhibition, the dossier Gótico del Plata was compiled by Catalina Cabral Spuri and expands the project into the literary and theoretical field. Divided into three sections —The Real, the Gothic, the Fantastic; Sinister Resonances; and Gothic Upbringing— it gathers contributions by Soledad Quereilhac, Luciano Lamberti, César González, Adriana Amante, Marcelo Acevedo, Lucía de Leone, Agustín Conde de Boeck, Juan Mattio, Diego Muzzio, Andrés Hoffman, Marina Yuszczuk, Ignacio Bartolone, Lucio Ferrante, and Susy Shock, among others.

The publication complements the visual works by addressing Gothic imagery in Argentine and Río de la Plata culture from critical, historical, and contemporary perspectives.
