Cuban actress Yordanka Ariosa, won last week end the Silver Shell award for best actress at the 36 San Sebastian International Film Festival, one of the most important of the European circuit.
The jury recognized her work in the film El rey de La Habana, from Agustí Villaronga.
This is one of the most important prizes a Cuban actress receives in international film festivals and this is the first time it is given to an actress born, trained and established in Cuba.
The actress thanked the jury for “the honor” of being part of “the great family of actresses” that has won this award.
