10 Days Left to Apply for the Excelencias Awards 2022!

Applications for the Excelencias Awards 2022 have been open since Nov. 7.  If you haven't submitted your project yet, the application process will be open until December 9, 2022. We encourage you to prepare your project and submit it; sending them will be done in a different way than in previous editions.  Projects will be submitted directly through a form on the Awards website.

The awards will be handed out at the International Tourism Trade Fair (Fitur) in January 2023, where professionals from the most relevant institutions in the global tourism industry gather.

About the Excelencias Awards

The Excelencias Awards were created in 2005 by the Excelencias Group with the goal of fostering excellence in different fields, all of them related to tourism, gastronomy, art and culture. Since then, they have become a benchmark in Ibero-America for all those who are involved in these sectors; those who develop their activity always with the goal of achieving excellence.

Historically, the awarding of the EXCELENCIAS TURÍSTICAS AWARDS to actors in the tourism industry is complemented by the awarding of prizes in other areas.

We have the EXCELENCIAS GOURMET AWARDS, which recognizes the most outstanding projects in gastronomy, an activity deeply linked to tourism.

In addition, we give a Spirit of Excelencias Award to those projects whose essence is to support and improve society, both thanks to and for gastronomy and tourism. We also have three awards honoring beloved professionals who have left us: "Silvia Zorzanello Award", to tourism projects in Brazil, "Ramón Álvarez Award", to institutions or personalities committed to MICE tourism, and "Nicolás Muela Award", to projects focused on research and promotion of gastronomic culture in Ibero-America.

In recent years, the BLUE and GREEN mentions have been added to the Excelencias Turísticas Awards to honor projects committed to the sustainability of aquatic and terrestrial environments.
