Leo Brouwer to Be Decorated by Argentinean University

Buenos Aires.- Cuban music teacher, orchestra director and composer Leo Brouwer will offer an open chat session at Argentinean prestigious Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK) in a cycle in his honor that will be held in this capital, from September 11 to 14.

In his first visit to Argentina, Brouwer, who arrived in Buenos Aires on Monday, will be awarded the title of Honorary Professor by the Tres de Febrero University, where he will also offer another conference for students and teachers.

The famous Cuban guitarist, orchestra director and composer, one of the greatest names of music of the 20th and 21st Centuries, will be present at the CCK for a series of activities that will have his figure and his musical work as center, announced today the cultural institution.

The presence of Leo Brouwer is farmed in the Latin American cycle, which has gahtered other great figures of the continent such as Egberto Gismonti, Totó la Momposina and Natalia Lafourcade, said the institution.
