Art on the Ramp: as well as it is at 20 years

The Cuban Culture Fair Arte en la Rampa celebrates 20 years and with the freshness of that age will be open to the public from next Saturday, July 6 and until September 1, at its usual headquarters of the Cuba Pavilion.

More than 60 stands will concentrate the best of the production of Havanan artisans of all manifestations and will also sell pieces of creators from Cienfuegos, Artemisa and Mayabeque: goldsmithing, ceramics, objects made with fiber, wood, glass, metal; dolls, furniture, reproductions of art, textiles, footwear, costume jewelry, will be some of the purchase alternatives to beautify the personal environment.

As in every edition, not only Cuban crafts of the highest quality will offer their spaces; The cultural industry will once again converge to present its products to the public: Artex, Egrem, House of the Americas, the Cuban Institute of Art and Cinematographic Industries, Génesis, the Abdala record company, Casa del Amanico, among others.

But like Arte en la Rampa, it is much more than a commercial activity, once again it has prepared an artistic program that includes cultists of all genres of the rich Cuban music that will be presented in the different locations of the Cuba Pavilion. In this way there will be jazz, trova, son, danzón, rap, pop, salsa, rumba and punto cubano or guajiro.

In the central stage will take place the big concerts from Friday to Sunday, with groups such as: Síntesis, Telmary, Tony Ávila, Interactivo, Raúl Torres, Failde Orchestra, Anacaona, José Luis Cortés, Haideé Milanés, Arnaldo y su talismán,, David Blanco, Adrián Berazaín and Cuban Sax Quintet.

On the other hand, meetings will be held with personalities of culture, who in the Hall of May will exchange with the public, who can also talk with actors, actresses, filmmakers, visual artists, musicians and other popular figures in La Pergola.

One of the new features of the event is that the students will have the privilege of paying half the price of the ticket, and the children continue with their right to free access and to the artistic activities that have been prepared for them on the mornings of Saturdays and Sundays with music, dance, magicians, clowns and other attractions.

It is also announced that the organizers of this fair, are making an effort, together with the craftsmen to achieve a decrease in the prices of works and utilitarian and beautiful products, to respond to an enduring demand of the population.
