Art Basel Paris returns this October to the renovated Grand Palais, placing the city and its avant-garde legacy at the center of this year’s edition.
While last year marked the long-awaited move to this historic venue, the 2025 edition of Art Basel Paris, directed by Clément Delépine, deepens the dialogue with the city itself. A total of 206 leading international galleries are participating – 180 within the Galeries sector – with 65 exhibitors operating spaces in France, underscoring the strength and vitality of the country’s gallery scene and art ecosystem.
The fair will take place from October 24 to 26, 2025, with Preview Days on October 22 and 23. Tickets, including access to the public Vernissage on the evening of October 23, are available exclusively at artbasel.com/paris/tickets.
For more than a century, Paris has stood as a cradle of creativity, a living history that will be reflected across its sectors and Public Program. Movements such as Cubism, Surrealism, and Situationism were born in the French capital, where generations of artists, writers, and thinkers developed ideas that resonated far beyond the city. This avant-garde spirit will be palpable at the fair, thanks to the presence of established galleries, emerging initiatives, and world-class creatives.
During Art Basel Paris, the fair also acts as a primary catalyst for France’s competitive art market, ranked as the fourth largest worldwide, representing 7% of global sales and more than half of the European Union’s total value, according to the Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market Report 2025.
Although each Art Basel fair reflects the dynamic interplay between the show and its host city, in Paris this connection becomes particularly striking under the glass roof of one of the capital’s most iconic architectural landmarks, a site that has hosted defining moments for modern and contemporary art. This relationship is further reinforced by this year’s Public Program, which will unfold across nine emblematic venues in the French capital.
Art Basel Paris’ ties to the city’s creative industries are also highlighted through the re-hanging initiative Oh La La!, art-directed by French fashion documentarian and filmmaker Loïc Prigent; its dynamic Conversations Program, featuring celebrated fashion editor Edward Enninful as guest curator for one day; and the impactful artistic projects supported by the fair’s partners.
