DIVERSEart LA 2022:
Addressing Climate Change through Art

For 2022, DIVERSEartLA will showcase art that addresses the global climate crisis. Curated by Marisa Caichiolo, this exhibition is intended to advance the dialogue about the global climate crisis and potential solutions. "As the curator of DIVERSEartLA, I am super excited about the curatorial focus of our upcoming 2022 edition at the LA Art Show – rising global concerns surrounding the state of the environment's health, and our impact as humans upon it," said Caichiolo.

Among the many exciting programs that will be part of DIVERSEartLA 2022, this week we highlight...

Dox Contemporary- Prague / Czech Center New York & The General Consulate of The Czech Republic in Los Angeles

Presenting THE SIGN (part of the Real News series) a site-specific installation by: Swen Leer

The installation, The Sign, plugs into this a-priori factuality by mimicking the format of iconic freeway signage, while communicating an unexpected message: "Your children WILL hate you – eventually". The text is a speculation about the future of our society as well as a deeply disturbing existential thought.

LA Art Show Works on Paper

The LA Art Show is proud to devote special attention to artworks on paper in our exhibition space dedicated to such works as photographs, prints, drawings in graphite, ink and other media, watercolor paintings and collage. For 2022, we have already lined up a number of galleries that will be showcasing work on paper, a classic substrate for creating art.

Among the many galleries that is part of the Works on Paper section, this week we highlight...

Wolf & Nomad Gallery

We're thrilled to welcome Wolf & Nomad as a participating gallery at the LA Art Show 2022. The Miami-based gallery was started by Asa Wolf in 2018 to showcase the work of emerging artists of varying talents and backgrounds. For the 2022 LA Art Show, Wolf & Nomad will present the work of photographer Evan Keeler and multi-disciplinary artist Simon Vargas.

Born and raised in Bogota, Columbia, Simon Vargas now lives in Miami and New York City. The broad scope of his work includes large scale portraits in oil, hand-painted murals, whimsical hand-cut collages and various unique works on paper. His work focuses on a range of interests such as cultural and societal awareness, environmental sustainability and anthropological exploration.

Based in the United States, Evan Keeler is a nomadic photographer who spends some 70-percent of the year on the road, often visiting remote locations in extensive forays on foot, by canoe, as well as snowshoes and a variety of vehicles. Born with very poor eyesight and partially colorblind, Keeler is drawn to natural settings off the beaten path where few, if any, photographers have been before.
