Looking Ahead to the 2025 LA Art Show & Highlighting Participating Galleries from 2024

Following the success of the 2024 LA Art Show, we are already preparing for our 30th Year Anniversary in 2025. We aim to present an even broader selection of galleries from across the globe. The LA Art Show is scheduled to return to the Los Angeles Convention Center from February 19-23, 2025.

This month, we're pleased to highlight four galleries that participated in our February 2024 edition: LICHT FELD Gallery from Basel, Switzerland; Fremin Gallery from New York; and Markowicz Fine Art and Bel-Air Fine Art, both with several gallery locations throughout the world. These galleries represent the diverse and high-quality offerings that attendees can expect at the LA Art Show, underscoring our commitment to showcasing a broad spectrum of contemporary and modern art.

As we look forward to the 2025 edition of the LA Art Show, we are excited to continue our collaboration with these galleries and to welcome new participants from around the world. Our goal remains to provide a platform for artists, galleries, and collectors to connect, discover, and celebrate the best in contemporary and modern art in Los Angeles.

Gallery Highlights
LICHT FELD Gallery

Since its inception in 2001 with an event that quickly became a Basel tradition, LICHT FELD Gallery has evolved into a pivotal space for modern and contemporary art, specializing in paintings, sculptures, installations, performance, and video art. Initially capturing local interest on the Gundeldinger Feld, the gallery's unique blend of artistic expressions soon gained international acclaim, leading to its participation in art fairs in 2007 and subsequent showcases across New York, Chicago, Istanbul, and Basel.

In 2012, LICHT FELD expanded its footprint with a new exhibition space in Basel's Davidsbodenstrasse, marking a new chapter in its journey. This move, coupled with a reevaluation of its event schedule due to increasing international engagement, has led to a significant decision: the transformation of its traditional annual Basel event into a bi-annual affair. This strategic shift ensures that LICHT FELD continues to offer a platform for innovative and thought-provoking art, fostering a dynamic dialogue between artists and the global art community from its Basel stronghold.

Fremin Gallery

Founded in 2007, Fremin Gallery has quickly established itself as a cornerstone of New York's vibrant gallery district, dedicated to showcasing contemporary art with a particular emphasis on photography. The gallery represents a diverse group of emerging and mid-career artists, providing many with their first solo exhibitions in New York and, for some, their debut in the United States.

Fremin Gallery is renowned for its thought-provoking exhibitions that explore themes such as identity, spirituality, architecture, design, and technology. The gallery’s commitment to both form and content reflects in the captivating and socially relevant works of its artists, who draw from a rich cultural heritage to create a universal visual language.

Positioned as an intercultural nexus, the gallery supports their artists' provocative visions within an unconventional space, encouraging a profound engagement with contemporary societal values.

With over eight rotating exhibitions annually, Fremin Gallery maintains a dynamic exhibition schedule, continually evolving its collection of ideas and expanding its influence.

Markowicz Fine Art & Bel-Air Fine Art

Since 2010, Markowicz Fine Art has made its mark on the international art scene, thanks to the vision of founder Bernard Markowicz. With prestigious spaces in Miami's vibrant heart, Dallas's Design District, and the Laguna Niguel Design Center, the gallery has shown an unwavering commitment to sharing groundbreaking artistry with an ever-expanding audience. Its collaboration with Bel-Air Fine Art, a powerhouse in the contemporary art gallery scene established in 2004, further solidifies this mission.

Markowicz Fine Art is celebrated for its eclectic roster of artists ranging from Pop Art legends like Andy Warhol and Tom Wesselmann to contemporary figures such as the surreal Annalù and the innovative street artist Kaï. This gallery is also the exclusive agent for Alain Godon, whose Bildoreliefo technique represents the pinnacle of artistic innovation.

Bel-Air Fine Art complements this vision perfectly, having established a formidable presence across Europe and beyond, with galleries from Geneva to Paris, London, and Miami. Founded by François and Grégory Chabanian, it prides itself on presenting a rich selection of internationally acclaimed and emerging artists, embodying diversity and innovation within the contemporary art sphere.

Together, Markowicz Fine Art and Bel-Air Fine Art offer a unique lens through which collectors and art enthusiasts can explore a diverse and dynamic array of contemporary and modern art. Their joint efforts exemplify a shared dedication to enriching the global art landscape, making them quintessential destinations for discerning collectors worldwide.
