MENART FAIR: conferences, musical happening and video program

Three round tables will highlight the private initiatives which firmly hold the torch despite state collapse in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Palestine. Then, the genesis of the art market in the Middle East, by putting “on the spot” the decisive and disruptive personalities who contributed to its birth and its originality. And finally, how our goals and inner passions shape our lives and destinies, while contributing to a more inclusive and equitable society.

A musical “happening” with Guillaume Huret from Rejoice will also give us a unique and delightful hour with incredible stories linking the music of the Middle East to that of the West.

A 53-minute program of artist videos will highlight 4 films whose underlying theme is that of an end, a rupture or the expectation of a change.

Children are not forgotten! Indeed, on the weekend of the fair, dedicated mediations are organized to explain the exhibited works to them. Also, a workshop for the manufacture of objects molded in Prompt natural cement is set up by the Louis Vicat Foundation, for children…and adults!
