Itau Cultural of Visual Arts

The call to the fourth edition of Itau Cultural Award for Argentinean emerging artists closes on October 15.

The jury is made up of 13 Argentinean representatives, 5 of them were handpicked by the public through Facebook, along with other members from Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay. The awarding jury is made up of artist Ernesto Ballesteros; the director of Castagnino Macro de Rosario Museum, Marcela Römer; Liliana Piñeiro, architect and director of Casa del Bicentenario; Silvia Calvani as Itau representative; and Agnaldo Farias, curator of the latest San Pablo biennial. They will be in charge of choosing three awards, which are the acquisition of the work to join the contemporary art collection of Banco Itau, the possibility to apply for scholarships with theoretical courses and workshops at Torcuato Di Tella University, within the framework of its Artists Program.

The final works are going to be showcased February – April 2013 at the Usina del Arte in La Boca.
