Park(ing) Day Chile 2013 invites artists, designers and common citizens to intervene a public parking

Park(ing) Day Chile project represents Park(ing) Day International project, an annual and global celebration in which artists, designers and common citizens collaborate to temporally transform (for one day) parking lots with parking meters in Park(ing) spaces or temporal public green areas.

Park(ing) Day Chile 2013 invites those who love the city and want a better life, to join this open participation initiative, in an effort to promote creativeness, civic commitment, critical thoughts, social relations, generosity and entertainment.

This is going to take place on December 6th. The participants are to be ready at 8:00 a.m. to occupy the previously-chosen parking lot and stay there until 7:00 p.m.

It’s open for Chileans and foreigners, 1 - 100 years old, who live in an urban area of the Chilean territory and are willing to intervene a public parking lot for one day.

The interventions must be carried out in public parking lots of urban areas (2.5 x 5 meters average) that feature parking meter and significant presence of vehicles and pedestrians. Once you are there, you must pay the corresponding fare related to the intervention hours.

Check out the guidelines here.
