The discipline involved is: Painting
Measurements: 200x200cm maximum
1 The contest is open to all artists regardless the nationality or place of residence.
2. Only one work per artist is allowed, and it must be unpublished.
3 Papers must be delivered from Wednesday, October 15th to Saturday, October 18th , 2014 and Wednesday, October 22nd to Saturday 25th between the hours of 15 to 20 hs. Personally or by mail in 1190 May Avenue (C1085ABO), Buenos Aires, 14 to 18hrs.
4 The author must submit the registration form at the time of delivery of the work with the following information: name, identity, title of the work, technique, postal address, email and phone. The form may be downloaded from the website www.areatec.com.ar
5 The works submitted will have a maximum of 200 x 200 cm and must be delivered ready to hang.
6 Awards:
First Acquisition Prize: $ 20,000
Second Acquisition Prize: $ 8.000
Mentions: Diploma
7 The jury will be composed of members appointed by the Institution with the presence of two Visual Artists, an art critic and a representative of Areatec.
8 The jury will meet for an opinion and the selected works as well as the awardees will be chosen by number of votes, with the final decision.
9 The authors of the selected works as well as the winners allow their works to be exhibited, published and / or used as part of activities of Areatec, the use of the image of the work both for inclusion in catalogs, and press purposes including mass media: print, internet or any other means, as well as the reproduction of the image in all cases mentioning the title and author's name, without any claim to the artist, who preserves his Intellectual Property Rights retribution (Law 11,723).
10. The Areatec space does not count with insurance on works. The organizers are not responsible for loss or damage to the works for any reason, without prejudice which will take care to treat them, being qualified personnel responsible for handling and assembly.
11. The unselected submitted works must be removed from November 4th to November 7th 2014 between the hours of 14 to 18hrs with the official receipt issued by the organization. After this period for removal of the works by their authors, the will remain as property of the organization granting the right to use them conveniently.
12 The mere presentation of the works in competition involves from the participants the knowledge and acceptance of these rules. Any situation not covered will be determined by the organization, whose decision is final.
13 Calendar:
- Dates for submission: Wednesday, October 15th to Saturday, October 18th 2014 and Wednesday, October 22nd to Saturday 25th between the hours of 15 to 20 hs.
- Notification of outcomes selected and awarded: from October 29th . It will be available in www.areatec.com.ar
- Awards: November 15th , 2014
- Exhibition Opening: November 15th , 2014
- Repayment of non accepted papers: from November 4th to November 7th 2014 between the hours of 15 to 20 hs.
14 The selected works will be exhibited and awarded in Areatec space, 1190 May Avenue (C1085ABO), Buenos Aires until March 2015.-
15 The organization may change the dates notifying the participants who accepted such changes without opposition.
