Colombian Art will enhance Madrid Large Fair

Bogota.- Colombia, as guest of honor at the contemporary art fair ArcoMadrid 2015, offers a wide exhibit which authorship corresponds to emerging and established artists, distributed in solo and group exhibitions.

 

 

Lucky showcase of national artistic work, the cultural event will open on February 25th to come to prestigious galleries and curators, as well as specialized publishers.

 

 

The Colombian stand pursues visible heterogeneity and sophistication of creative products beyond the local bodies and market requirements, in it works by photographers, writers, painters, artists inspired by themes such as violence, the search for peace, sexuality, the production and consumption of drugs, among other issues will be seen, organizers announced.

 


Within ArcoMadrid facilities –they said- will be a space for the scenarios, publications and events that have been instrumental in shaping the artistic landscape of the Andean country.

 


It will be also permanently shown the documentary series Plastica, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and whose 10 chapters are about the genesis of Colombian art to the present.

 


The selection of Colombia as the star of the Spanish fair is supported by the creation of new galleries, public museums, private, biennials and various cultural spaces driven by artists, collectors, institutions and auction houses, told to the press their promoters.

 


With exhibitions and presentations in Madrid flagship lounges, among other places, the compilation of the Andean nation will pierce limits of the fairground ArcoMadrid 2015 event scheduled until March 1st , reflects the agenda of the meeting.

 


This sample is designed in two chapters: the relationship between art and nature, and the relationship between body, time and photography.

 


It’s about visions through installations and images, which belong to authors of four different generations, active over the past 30 years.

 


The Colombian art takes Madrid is the title of the initiative, which now is organized by the creators and institutions of the South American nation.
