Lee Joseph Bracegirdle premieres piece in Santiago de Cuba

The Australian-American director and composer, Lee Joseph Bracegirdle,  premiered in our country his piece "Variaciones para orquesta" and the place chosen was the Dolores Concert Hall in Santiago de Cuba.

 

Presentations during the last week were conducted on the 22nd , at 8:30 pm, and Sunday at 5:00 pm, and counted with the interpretations of the Symphony Orchestra * * of this city.

 

The program is also make with works of German and Russian authors of the Classical and Romantic periods. Thus it could also be listened to the composition of guest conductor, the Egmont Overture, by Ludwig von Beethoven; Symphony no. 39 in E flat, Wolfang Amadeus Mozart , and Marche Slave Opus 31, of Piort Ilich Tchaikovsky.

 

Lee Joseph Bracegirdle is a creator with a long resume that includes early musical training in Philadelphia, USA, where he studied piano and various wind instruments. When he reached 14 he switched to French horn and his artistic life has been marked by the interpretation of this instrument.

 

He attended the prestigious school Juilliard in New York, and during his studies he ventured to develop a multifaceted career as a free-lance which included presentations as principal of the Philharmonic New York Orchestra and the Brooklyn Philharmonic, plus recordings with many prominent jazz musicians.
 

His resume is also prestige with the presence of figures such as Barbara Streisand, when he was part of a concert tour held in 2010 in which he was principal of the International Orchestra of Sydney.

 

His directorial debut in 1990 with the Mozarteum Orchestra in Salzburg, Austria is well known, and his responsibility as Musical Director of Ballet Chamber Australia since 1996.
