LATAM Airlines Group joins PINTA Miami as sponsor

LATAM Airlines Group joins as sponsor for the eighth edition of Pinta fair, which will take place from December 3 – 7. In this unique event, held during Miami’s Art Week, LATAM Airlines Group collaborates with and supports the fair’s intention to show the world what Latin America has to offer it in terms of art, which includes the participation of more than 50 international galleries.

LATAM Airlines Group is a Latin American commercial airline group with its headquarters in Santiago de Chile. The Group was created in 2012 as a result of the association between LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines. LATAM Airlines Group is one of the largest airline groups in the world in terms of network, has more than 50,000 employees and provides passenger transport services to about 135 destinations in 24 countries. With service and easy connections to over 114 destinations in South America and the Caribbean, it is the airline group that offers the most unparalleled network of destinations to, from and within Latin America and is part of the oneworld alliance.

Together, the airlines that comprise LATAM Airlines Group have a fleet of nearly 321 aircraft and Miami is the headquarters for its cargo operation worldwide. The airline group operates one of the most modern fleet in the region with LAN Airlines being the only airline to fly the Boeing 787 Dreamliner from Miami to South America and TAM Airlines is scheduled to be the first carrier in the Americas to operate the Airbus A350-900 in 2015.

Pablo Chiozza, Senior Vice President, LATAM Airlines Group, USA, Canada and the Caribbean, pointed out with regard to the alliance with Pinta: “As the largest airline group in South America, supporting and being a part of the Pinta art fair’s debut in Miami is an honor for LATAM Airlines Group. We connect the world to South America and we are happy to be a part of connecting Miami locals and visitors with the only curated boutique art fair devoted to the art of Latin America, Spain and Portugal. LATAM Airlines Group strives to bring the best of South America to the world and hope that those that get a chance to view the art and galleries at Pinta Miami will be inspired to visit South America to view the people, landscapes and histories that inspired the works on display.”

Pinta Miami and LATAM Airlines Group celebrate this strategic partnership and join forces to contribute to the growth and internationalization of art in Latin America through their sponsorship of the arts, placing their bet on supporting established artists and promoting young emerging artists from the region. LATAM Airlines Group guarantees that Pinta will be a must-see event in Miami, the gateway to Latin America.

LATAM Airlines Group VIP Lounge at PINTA Miami and Beyond

This year at Pinta Miami, LATAM Airlines Group is hosting an exclusive VIP lounge experience for select attendees that creates a relaxing area to rest and recharge from the energetic pace of the art fair. The LATAM Airlines Group VIP lounge is located in the main tent of the Pinta Fair and offers comfortable seating, beverages for purchase and stations to recharge electronic devices. The lounge will feature elements that represent LATAM Airlines Group’s roots in South America in addition to an afternoon dedicated to Chile on December 4, 2014 with light bites and wine that offer a taste of the country.

LAN Airlines and its affiliates and TAM Airlines opened LATAM Airlines Group’s first official unified VIP Lounge in November 2014, the largest in Latin America, at the Guarulhos International Airport in Sao Paulo. Located on the mezzanine floor of the departure area of the new Terminal 3, the lounge was designed by world-renowned designers and architects including Mathias Klotz and Lillian Allen from Chile, with consulting assistance from the Paris-based Studio Putman, one of the world’s best design studios. The decor uses natural materials like wood, marble, onyx and leather, with colors and details that represent the richness and diversity of the continent where LAN Airlines, TAM Airlines and their respective affiliates operate.

With the new Guarulhos Lounge VIP, LATAM Airlines Group and its affiliates offer passengers in the region access to six lounges, including two in Chile, one in Buenos Aires, one in Bogotá, one in Miami, and more than 600 lounges all over the world, as part of the oneworld alliance.
