Yudit Vidal inaugurates workshop gallery in Trinidad

The gallery shop "Brushstroke Colonial" located Street Simón Bolívar (Disappointment) # 294, two blocks from the historic center, right in the heart of the Villa Trinitarian, will delight visitors with the bright colors of the works of the artist plastic Yudit Vidal Faife.
 

The workshop exhibits works by four of the most significant stages of her art, and it will reveal the study, to enjoy from the terrace one of the most beautiful views of the city and be part live of the creative process of the artist.

 

Yudit Vidal Faife was born on February 21, 1979 in the city of Santa Clara and settled in Trinidad, Sancti Spiritus Province, Cuba, in 1986. From an early age she showed inclination for painting and drawing.
 

Despite her youth, Vidal has had numerous solo and group exhibitions, some of them in Ecuador, Holland and Spain. In addition, her works have been sent to prestigious international galleries, which have been widely accepted.

 

On the other hand, her works have been acquired by various foreign collectors, coming in this way to the US, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Brazil, among other countries.


Despite the variety of techniques, her features always go to the same point: the surrealism of her dreams. Her work moves within the fantasy, in dreams, nightmares that each person has and including herself.

 

Her works have been used to recreate book covers, like "Locuras mías", by the prestigious writer Lourdes Diaz Canto from Cienfuegos,  of the Editorial Maecenas and "Cuentos y Fragmentos de aquí y de allá" by the teachers and writers, Claudia Aburto Guzman and Lilian Guerra, from Bates College, Lewiston, Maine in USA .Published in Quito, Ecuador, by Editorial El Conejo. Among other domestic and foreign titles.

 

She graduated in Fine Arts at the profile Restoration and Conservation of Movable at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in Havana.

 

She currently works as a freelance artist in her gallery and workshop linked to the National Cultural Fund of Cuba.
