The New Fair announces the 25 artists selected for its second edition

After receiving more than 450 dossiers for its second edition, the New Fair, an express and alternative fair to ARCO, the New Gallery organizes with new artists; it has selected 25 artists who will be part of the second edition for this collective exhibition of creators who have no exhibitions in galleries. This exhibition is conceived to become an event for measuring the most emerging and current art, and it will be held at the New Gallery in Madrid during February 26 and 27.

Those selected to be part of this project curated by Semíramis González for second consecutive year are: Carlos Asensio, María Bisbal, Martín Blázquez, Amaya Bombín, Arantxa Boyero, Angel Reed, María Castellanos, Delgado Honas, Paco Díaz, Álvaro Escriche, Tomás Justicia, Sergio Loeda, Alberto Marcos, Jorge Martínez, Daniel O'Sullivan, Gloria Oyarzabal, Carlos Pérez, Antonio Pérez, Ana Riaño, Francisco Javier Ruiz, Aarón Sanromán, Isabel SánchezBorja Sandoval, Julio Sarramian and Carmen G. Somavilla.

Three in one

One more year, during two days, they will exhibit the works of these artists related to photography, drawing, installation, sculpture, collage and painting, among other disciplines and these artists must act as editors, curators, artists and public relation employers. Something new for this second edition, in addition to a high participation of works, which exceed 300 projects presented in 2014, is the interest aroused in the international arena, of artists from France, Britain, Germany, Portugal and Brazil.

This initiative that celebrated its first edition in 2014 is presented as an experimental encounter to exhibit proposals of those emerging artists and without exhibitions in galleries or they are not overly integrated in the marketing circuit. It is aimed at creating a link between these artists and the professional field, facilitating the approach not only to the public in general, but also critics, curators, the press, collectors and other galleries.

Experimental encounter to meet proposals for emerging artists without Gallery

The New Fair is a non-profit event to the New Gallery, since it does not participate in the profit from the works sale, being a direct deal between buyers and artists, with the aim of facilitating their creative continuity. However, the gallery will have the collaboration and support of the Meetinarts platform, as well as sponsored by ABSOLUT to carry out its particular fair.

The New Fair will be opened to the public on February 26 and 27, coinciding with ARCO, from 20:00 to 00:00 hours (that is, at the closing of the Ifema fair), at the New Gallery (C / Carranza, 6).
