Pink arts exhibit to be inaugurated at Galiano Gallery

By: Susana Méndez

The Galiano Gallery under the Cuban Cultural Fund will inaugurate the arts exhibit Pink by Marlys Fuego (Las Tunas, 1988), student of the University of Artists on February 20, 7:00 pm.

The representation of the sexual aspect appears as a pretext to reflect about problems such as eroticism and genre identity, related to publicity and fashion, two phenomena in contemporary world.

The artist proposes the intervention of the space to create a scenario where all the individual pieces form a sensorial environment sensorial, with the use of a mix of traditional techniques—painting, photography—and more modern procedures, like video-installation or light boxes.

Pink will be opened until March 23 in Galiano Gallery at 256 Galiano St. between Neptuno and Concordia streets, Centro Habana.
