The Zona Maco fair group to organize a photography fair

With this initiative, Zona Maco follows the steps of its rival of Brazil SP-Arte. Now they are the two most important fair groups in Latin America.

After the Zona Maco 2015 celebrations and the dates already scheduled for Zona Maco 2016, the main fair of contemporary art in Mexico and one of the most important in Latin America, Zona Maco, directed by Zélica García keeps increasing and extending its business, presenting this time, Zona Maco Foto, a different fair focused on photography to be held from September 24 to 27 at the Banamex Center in the Mexico city coinciding with the second edition of Zona Maco Salón del Anticuario.

Undoubtedly, the Mexican fair group is having a good time. So, they are no planning a fair only focused on one discipline, although this has a strong impact in the international collecting.

The event organizers have given the fair an outstanding committee for galleries selection composed of  Daniel Garza Usabiaga, curator of the Museo Universitario del Chopo in Mexico city; Ana Elena Mallet, independent curator  who is based in Mexico city; and Mauricio Maillé, visual arts director from the Televisa Foundation in Mexico city.

The new fair, which will include old, modern, and contemporary photography and video, will host a broad spectrum of exhibitors both Latin American and international including galleries, private dealers, editors for picture magazines and books as well as companies related to photography services.
