Paradiso, Artex’s cultural tourism agency, is the official inbound agency for 2015 Cuballet, to be held in Havana on July 6 – August 2.
Cuballet is a course where the technique and methodology of the Cuban Ballet School are taught, since it was created by Maestro Fernando Alonso. Throughout 4 weeks, the students directly work with professional dancers, teachers and choreographers of Laura Alonso Ballet. This course will give the attendees an opportunity to experience dancing at professional and pre-professional levels.
The course can be taken by students, starting at the age of 10, and professionals, both dancers and teachers.
During the lessons, by means of the techniques applied by the Cuban Ballet School, they will have the opportunity to dance choreographies of the international classic repertoire. This time round, they are going to dance The Pharaoh’s Daughter(La hija del Faraon), thus paying tribute to Maestro Fernando Alonso.
It’s very important for every dancer to participate in the whole program so as to make the most of the lessons and workshop offers. The price of the course includes rehearsals and the participation in the final performance, depending on the technical level of the participant.
Cuballet features two courses: Course for dancers to the amount of 400.00 cuc and Course for professors to the tune of 500.00 cuc.
Compulsory Legal Requirements
a)- If you come for 30 days or less, you can stay at the Center with tourism visa that cannot be extended. You shall email the following information 20 days before your arrival: flight number, date and arrival time.
b)- You must have medical insurance.
c)- You shall have booked a hotel room or private accommodation, although we recommend you to make the reservations by means of PARADISO.
d)- If you come with a Tourist visa and you’ll stay in Cuba for over 30 days, the Dance Promotion Center can take care of the migratory procedures in order to get your Student Visa. This process entails an extra charge of $65.00 cuc.
e)- Minors must travel with legal guardian or a person is to be appointed in Cuba so as to represent them during their stay.
Cuballet is going to take place at the Dance Promotion Center (Prodanza), 51st Avenue #11805, between 118 and 120, Marianao, Havana, sponsored by Paradiso Cultural Tourism Agency, Artex.
