Cuban Circus Artists Honored in Kazakhstan

Cuban National Circus artists Sixto and Lucia were presented with an award by the State Circus of Kazakhstan as part of celebrations for its 45th anniversary.

The world stars of Quick Change will remain in this Eurasian country until February 23 promoting their show called 13 Wonders, enjoyed to date by over 30,000 people, who have cheered them on each of their appearances on the stage.

Once back in Havana, they will join the national tour of Circuba 2015, which since July 16 takes place on the island and has already brought performances to various cities. 

This time Sixto and Lucia will make presentations in the Velasco and Cardenas theaters (August 27-30), both of them in Matanzas, while in Nueva Gerona –a locality where the closing ceremony of the 14th edition of the event will be held- will receive them at the sports hall of the Isle of Youth special municipality.

During the days of celebrations in Kazakhstan the visits to Cuba of several artists of the former Soviet Circus in the early 1970s and their performances at the Sports City of Havana were recalled.
