PINTA Miami launched the PINTA Forum Series. Basic Components of the Collection of the Future featured Architect Manuel Clavel-Rojo from Spain, Architect Carlos Zapata from Venezuela, Juan A. Gaitan, Director of the Museo Tamayo in Mexico and Ruth Estevez, Co- Founder of LIGA MEXICO, and gallery director and curator of RED CAT in Los Angeles on a very interesting conversation about Spaces for Collection: Architecture & Museum.

Five years ago, EFG Wealth Management and Art Nexus came together to create the EFG Art Nexus Latin American Contemporary Art Award, an annual acquisition award of a work by a Latin American Artist. The winner is Cuban artist Diana Fonseca whose videos “Walking Under the Sun” and “Lovers” came from the memories of games from her childhood. This winning work was pre-selected by Alexia Tala at Ch.Aco in Santiago de Chile. Other nominees included Adán Vallecillo at ArtBo (Bogota), Celina Portella at SP Arte (Sao Paulo), Maria Ignacia Edwards at Art Lima (Lima), and Rosario Zorraquin at ArtBA (Buenos Aires).

The fair continues on December 4th tomorrow from 11 am – 8 pm. PINTA Forum will welcome collectors Jorge Perez, Serge Tiroche and curator Catherine Petitgas for Times for Collection: Narrative & Elasticity.
