Art, Fashion Converge at Havana Fiart 2015

Havana.- Although much of the proposals of the International Crafts Fair, Fiart 2015, are handmade using traditional techniques, some exhibitors are betting today by the imperatives of fashion and market. Colombian, Cindy Paez, who has participated for six years in the event, usually prefers silver jewelery, such as earrings, rings, bracelets, and also seed-handmade necklaces, as they have high sales.

But among the pieces are some accessories decorated with works by important painters worldwide: Leonardo Da Vinci, Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Joan Miro, Frida Kahlo, Gustav Klimt, pop art, among others.

These universal works were reflected through heat transfer in tempered glass, and the images are in German alpaca ironwork, the exhibitor told Prensa Latina.

Opened on December 4 at Pabexpo fairgrounds, Fiart 2015 welcomes attractive and varied crafts of Latin American, Chinese, Spanish, Indian and Romanian creators, among others.
