Santiago de Chile.- Isabelle Huppert, one of the most important faces in French cinema, will attend the premiere of ''Elle'', directed by the Dutch Paul Verhoeven, at the Festival Sanfic 12 in Chile. The Santiago International Film Festival (Sanfic) will be held in Santiago de Chile from August 23rd to 28th with several competitive segments one of which is devoted to the most recent work of prestigious directors.
Also showing in the Masters of Cinema section is 'Heart of a Dog', directed by Laurie Anderson, a violinist and poet and the widow of Lou Reed - the father of alternative rock - to whom the film is dedicated.
Also included is 'The First Light' directed by Vincenzo Marra, an Italian production filmed in Chile, starring national actors such as Daniela Ramirez, Alejandro Goic and Luis Gnecco.
Danny Glover the star of 'Mr. Pig' will be present at it's showing and the director of 'Dog Eat Dog', Paul Schrader, which stars Nicolas Cage and Willem Dafoe, will also attend the showing of his film.
