Zaloa Ipiña: Invasió llumínica

Zaloa Ipiña (Bilbao, 1987) after getting the secondary award at the 24 Premi TELAX, presents her sculptural work in an individual exhibition at Antoni Pinyol Gallery, from October the 7th to November de 5th of 2016.

In her work, space and light become the issue to be addressed, working on the visual representation in the form of sculptures made of methacrylate and serygraphied acetate. Thus, transparency diffuses the space between the inside and outside of the piece.

It is known that any artist who has used as a working tool impressions that causes light and its rays, feel the influence of their environment, as joy, sadness, monotony or stability.

Zaloa Ipiña answers this influence through a work that, by the light, projects over the space and invades it, undoing the limits of the sculpture, the limits between object and environment. Since the beginning, the artist has wanted to establish a relation between interior and exterior ambits, since the breakup is unavoidable.
