VIDEO ARTEX audiovisual project

The Video Artex project was born as part of the shares of the campaign to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Artex in 2014. For this were called artists of contemporary art belonging to the catalog of the importing cultural products Comercial Lauros, which this year ups its 15 anniversary and whose works have been embodied in the product line Arte en Casa.

Beyond a trade promotion, the Video Artex project aims to humanize the leader Arte en Casa, created by Comercial Lauros and to raise awareness the artist from the depths.

Video Artex is designed in five volumes with five audiovisual each, and it allows the viewer to have access to the studies of the artists and witness them in the depths of the creative process, to be filmed painting new works for the project.

Volume 2 consists of five women artists of Cuban plastic: Yudit Vidal, Flora Fong, Alicia de la Campa, Zaida del Rio and Ileana Mulet. This volume, unlike the first, involves visual poems in the following books published by the publishing house Ediciones Cubanas: Quien golpea las puertas, by Ileana Mulet; Paralelepípedo, by Zaida del Rio; and Versos, a book of poems by Dulce Maria Loynaz coming out soon to light.

The selected music for each audiovisual belongs to the photographic catalog of the publishing house and record label Bis Music. It comprises lyrics of renowned musicians as Chicoy, El Greco and Lucía Huergo. The latter died in April this year and Artex decided to pay fitting tribute to her work during the presentation of Artex Video by Alicia de la Campa.

The 16 Cuban Culture Fair in Arte en La Rampa, opened in Havana from July 10 through September 13 as an extension of Habanarte 2015 event becomes the ideal space for the presentation of the Institutional audiovisual project Artex, which also featured the complement of the presentation and sale of prints and portfolios with reproductions of works of the artists involved in Volume 2, by Genesis Art Galleries.

Once again Artex bets on an ambitious and comprehensive institutional project that allows the public to know who their artists are and discover the inner workings of the line Arte en Casa, which combines the beautiful with the useful and makes available to Cubans and foreigners high bill objects to make more pleasant their homes.
