Call for the 2019 Excelencias Cuba Awards Remains Open

Call for the 2019 Excelencias Cuba Awards Remains Open

The Excelencias Group, faithful to its twenty-two-year tradition of highlighting the achievements and merits of institutions and personalities that stand out for their contribution to the community and the world, has convened the Excelencias Cuba Awards in Havana as part of its annual ceremony of recognition of the best values of the peoples of Ibero-America and the Caribbean.

The Awards Gala in the Cuban capital will be held in February 2020, after the presentation in Madrid at the International Excelencias Awards, so that means that right now the reception of nominations is already open, especially in the areas of tourism, gastronomy, motor, art and culture in the headquarters of the Excelencias Group on 315 10th Street between 3rd and 5th avenues, Miramar. Proposals can also be sent to

The Excelencias Awards were born in Spain and are presented annually in Madrid, during the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), where Cuba has been distinguished as a Safe Destination for tourists, and which for over two decades has highlighted the merits of individuals and entities linked to the tourism industry and the promotion of their communities.

The call maintains the Green and Blue categories -delivered for the first time last year- to recognize those projects, individuals and institutions that work for sustainable development and care of the planet. All those who maintain these concepts in their daily work can opt for the award, so the presentation of the award nomination must underscore that.

The happy coincidence with the celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the city of Havana will pave the way to dole out a Special Havana 500 Award, the commendable result of those who have been dedicated their efforts of its restoration and to the recovery of the city after enduring the havoc wreaked by the January 27 tornado.
