Art Karlsruhe 2022

For its 2022 edition exceptionally organized from 7 to 10 July, art KARLSRUHE will gather a total of 215 international galleries showing 120 years of modern and contemporary art with a selection of works by Josef Albers, Georg Baselitz, Salvador Dalí, Otto Dix, Franz Gertsch, Katharina Gross, Xenia Hausner, Candida Höfer, Karin Kneffel, Max Liebermann, Heinz Mack, Pablo Picasso, Kurt Schwitters Neo Rauch, Gerhard Richter and Cornelia Schleime, among others.

In addition to the three main areas (Classic Modernism, Art after 1945, and Prints and Contemporary Art), a new one will be dedicated to exhibitions, museum presentations and talks. Inside the fair, a Sculpture Area will present a selection of 24 large-scale pieces and a sculpture garden will show additional works outside.

A special exhibition will present Maria-Lucia and Ingo Klöcker's collection focussed on the portrayal of women since the Post-war period. Entitled "Women: Klöcker Collection", the exhibition will present a selection of works by Sibylle Bergemann, Aleah Chapin, Stephan Balkenhol, Erich Fischl, Franz Gertsch, Alex Katz, Barbara Klemm, Gerhard Richter, Cornelia Schleime, and Thomas Schütte, among others.
