MULAFEST approaches tomorrow

Creative Communion Cube, an unpublished structure in Spain

MULAFEST, the Festival of Urban Trends, organized by IFEMA, will host in its eighth edition a gigantic collaborative artistic installation of Virtual Reality drawing unprecedented in Spain.

This is the Creative Communion Cube project, which will be launched under the initiative of the Mañana event, a movement that unites and activates the ecosystem of the future and will take place at IFEMA, Feria de Madrid, next June. This large facility, led within the area of technological expansion IFEMA Foundation LAB, will also be part of Tomorrow, the event where the most innovative and human initiatives that are responding to the great challenges of our time will be presented: sustainable growth, wellbeing and livability.

The structure, conceived as ephemeral and mobile architecture, consists of a large central box with different experiences of collective creation that will be reflected in the outer cover. Modular in character - with dimensions of 12X12x8 meters - and mobile, this structure is wrapped in 170 kilometers of threads that confer by themselves condition of work of art and can adapt to multiple scenarios.

One of the most surprising collective experiences will be achieved thanks to 3D technology and the use of VR glasses. For his presentation at MULAFEST, the Spanish illustrator Ricardo Cavolo has created some templates with which the public attending the festival can make their own three-dimensional creations. These works of art will be seen in real time on the outer skin of the box, so that those attending the event will also be participants in this collective act of culture.

Likewise, the artists Belin and José Delgado Periñán will create their works live, using this technology, before the attentive look of the attendees, who will be able to see them in real time on the outer skin of the box.

Another of the experiences proposed by Creative communion cube 'has the participation of more than a dozen of graffiti professionals who will cover the outer space with creations in 3D. It is an experience of hyperconnection where not only traces are drawn, allowing the creator to imbue himself within his work, but it is accompanied by a unique musical creation associated with the stroke and movement of the creators.

With this cube, anyone can express themselves in a 3D and musical space, with the naturalness of expressing an emotion or a movement. It would take months to create similar works with traditional 3D software. However, Creative communion cube allows you to operate on a new paradigm of creation, where you do not need to think about "how" to draw, but simply to do it. For artists and designers, it will allow a much greater creativity, and a much faster execution, going beyond art or design.

The Creative communion cube project is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, such as real-time perimeter projection, an integral sound system or sensors that can be placed in different parts of the body, and multi-user systems that allow fifteen people to be created at the same time in the same virtual environment.
